How does UltraShape work?

UltraShape uses acoustic waves of non-thermal ultrasonic pulsed energy to target and breaks down the subcutaneous fat in your exact problem areas, without bruising, swelling, or other unpleasant side effects. The treatments penetrate through the top layer of skin targeting problem areas such as:

What is the downtime and is it painful?

UltraShape’s ultrasonic pulsed energy does all the work with no painful side effects like with using freezing or heat to break down the fat cells.  UltraShape is a safe and effective treatment and does not cause harm to surrounding tissues or nerves. Patients will leave the office with no visible sign that they even had the treatment.  

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on how many areas are treated the time can vary; however, typically patients are in and out of the office in 1 hour or less.  UltraShape is done in a series of 3 treatments completed in 6 weeks.

What results can be expected?

Results will vary according to the individual, but most patients will see a reduction in fat after just one treatment.  Over a 2- 4 week period after each treatment, the body will clear the broken down fat cells through its natural metabolic pathways and for up to 30 days after the last session.  Best results are seen in 10 weeks.

What can I do to get the best result?

Because the broken-down fat cells are being cleared by the body’s natural metabolic pathways it is important to continue to have an active lifestyle while eating a balanced diet and increasing water intake to obtain the best results possible.  This treatment is also best paired with our VeleShape skin tightening to tighten the skin after there is volume loss.
